Will Gibbins's Story
As many of you will know, I am football mad!
Most of my weekends, since I was 3 years old, have been spent going to Charlton to watch football on Saturday and playing football for Staplehurst Monarchs on Sunday, so as you can imagine the past year has been very disappointing that I can’t do my favourite things.
Therefore, I have decided in the month of March to keep myself busy and fit by joining the Charlton Squad in Race Europe to race 13 other London clubs to be the first to cover the 6,720 miles that separate all...
As many of you will know, I am football mad!
Most of my weekends, since I was 3 years old, have been spent going to Charlton to watch football on Saturday and playing football for Staplehurst Monarchs on Sunday, so as you can imagine the past year has been very disappointing that I can’t do my favourite things.
Therefore, I have decided in the month of March to keep myself busy and fit by joining the Charlton Squad in Race Europe to race 13 other London clubs to be the first to cover the 6,720 miles that separate all of the Euro 2021 host cities.
I want to log as many miles as I possibly can for my team, I can do this in nearly 80 different ways; from walking, running, cycling and more. CACT wants the Charlton Squad to raise the most money and cover the biggest distance against its London rivals.
The virtual challenge will raise funds for Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT),a charity who gives Time and money getting people healthy, putting young people on employment pathways, promoting equality or providing support to those who need it most benefits the whole community across London and South East England.
